The Care Team Mission

This trained and equipped team exists to provide care for our congregation who are experiencing illness and all types of loss. Care team members serve in the following ways. Service opportunities and time commitments are as unique as the individual.

  • hospital and home visits
  • meals
  • minor home repairs
  • notes of encouragement
  • check in phone calls
  • rides
  • gardening and yard work
He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.
Psalm 147:3

Join the Care Team!

Have you had small group leader (Men’s, Women’s, or HFG) or Stephen Ministry training?
Do you have a heart to pray with those who have experienced illness or loss?
Are you in a small group that would like to have a service project for a member in need?

Be a part of a vital team that has been established to care for our member families who are experiencing illness all types of loss. You decide how much time you can serve. The opportunities are as unique as each individual. We have members working in teams to make hospital and home visits, individuals making meals for those who are recovering, groups completing minor home repairs, note writing, making check in phone calls, giving rides, gardening, etc.

We use email to communicate all care needs to the care team members.

Please email Cindy Blom @ Cindy.blom@christcommunity.org to find out more about what has been developed to provide care for our congregation. Ongoing training and pastoral/elder support will be available for members of our care teams.
