Here is a link for those of you who are wanting drought tolerant annuals. On the list you will find an asterix by the ones that are easy to grow from seed.

Remember, if you grow from seed, you will need to water everyday to keep the soil moist while your seeds are germinating. We recommend you get 4" pots of annuals at the co-op or any garden store instead, but seeds are so cheap, I wanted you to have an option if you live close enough to water your garden daily.

It's best to work the sulfur into the soil as opposed to adding it over top of your bed. And it'll take several months for the sulfur to dissolve enough to have much of an acidifying effect.

I tried some "Madagascar periwinkle" (it's an upright vinca). I recall one year buying some for my mother (and grabbing the flat thinking they were impatiens) and saw the different type of leaf after planting.

Hey, you really have some nice information. People should follow, I mean how many of them water there soil in day-to-day life. We are already on the verge of apocalypse and people still don't care. Everybody has to start planting a plant at there home first.
