Our Vision & Values

Our Mission Statement

Christ Community Church is called by the God of all grace for the transforming of life in middle Tennessee--spiritually, socially and culturally--through the power of the gospel, from Franklin to the nations of the world--all to the glory of God.

Our Core Values

1. GOSPEL ASTONISHMENT

Through the "gospel of God's grace" we know ourselves to be more wicked and needy than we ever imagined and, at the same time, we know ourselves to be more loved and accepted than we ever dreamed possible. This amazing reality compels us to love God with our mind, emotions, volition, time and resources. It frees us to live for His glory and pleasure. In essence, this is what it means to worship God and such worship defines and fuels every aspect of life in Christ Community.

2. GOSPEL CULTURE

We are a community of the redeemed; called to rich relationships, discipleship and servanthood. The full implications of the gospel are enjoyed only as we relate to one another in our weakness, brokenness, repentance and God's mercy, love and forgiveness. Such a grace-shaped culture promotes honesty, healing, change and joy. It is the environment in which disciples of Jesus Christ are made who are marked by their informed minds and inflamed hearts. Servant-leaders are developed who are known as the chief repenters in the church. Where pretense is lacking and God is present grace abounds.

3. GOSPEL MOVEMENT

The gospel is dynamic, not static. The good news is running to the nations of the world and will continue to permeate every sphere of life until Jesus comes back to consummate His Kingdom purposes. Therefore, we are called to be an out-growing church, one that exists to be a conduit of God's redemptive truth and love. For us this involves several joyful commitments: Personal evangelism and missions, both locally and internationally; Caring for the poor and demonstrating the transforming power of the gospel in the broken places of our society; and, Cultural renewal, as our members move into the marketplace and the arts as representatives of the Kingdom of God.
