Soldier Care Package Project 2010: CCC sent (19) general boxes and (7) specific CCC family members soldiers boxes (275 lbs. of donations)! Thanks to all who donated requested items, funding for shipping, and notes of encouragement for our men and women in the military. Also a special thank you to Steve & Kristin Braaksma and their team of volunteers for faithfully collecting, sorting, boxing and shipping all of the care packages.
- $1429 Total Raised at the Women's Book Club Book Sale: Thanks you to all who set up, sold, and bought books in February to sponsor children in Turkana (northern Kenya) through Children of the Kingdom. Every penny will go toward their education fees and care. If you would like to hear more, join us for a special luncheon honoring Pastor Sammy Murimi (visiting from Kenya) on Thursday, April 22 at 12:00 noon in C227 (RSVP to Kim.Wilk@christcommunity.org if you plan to eat). For more information, check out their website: http://www.sharint.net/SICoK.html.
- Loose Change Total from February: The February collection generated a total of $1,301.66 Thanks to your generosity, several families on Rattlesnake Ridge in Appalachia (rural KY) will have their own gardens this summer - thanks to the servant leadership of CCC members, Alfred & Julia Stewart. $333.79 of this most recent loose change offering has purchased soil supplies, seeds, frost blanket cover, and instructional DVD on the square-foot gardening method they'll be learning. The Stewarts are tremendous examples to us all of stewarding our time/talents for God's glory - and we are so grateful for the funds available to provide for this county where 89% live at poverty level. Our next Loose Chage Sunday is April 18. Thanks CCC for giving so generously and changing lives!
-
January and February proceeds went to support The Red Road - a total of $1,350! The Red Road is a non-profit which (a) provides Native Americans with hope and a future (b) educates students on the ways of the First Nations people (c) teaches people of every nationality about Native Americans to empower them with the knowledge to go into their own world with a heart of acceptance (d) opens the eyes and hearts of all pelple to the true value of the First Nations people via dances, songs, ceremonies, and culture. For more information on this ministry, visit www.theredroad.org. Proceeds from March will go to Catalyst Missions(www.catalystmissions.org) So grab a java and fellowship between services! We are looking for a few more volunteers to set-up, serve or clean-up once-a-month on Sunday mornings for 1-2 hours. If you enjoy helping and free coffee while serving, contact Jim Peterson (jimp@advantagesignsupply.com) or 261-8107 (evenings) for shift openings.
By faith we are able to invest more than $330,000 through Missional Living. These are just a few examples of how lives are being transformed from Franklin to the nation of the World........
- Seven pastoral leaders and their famlies have been financially supported in India, Malawi, China, Sri Lanka and Peru to minister to their own people.
- Thousand of children-at-risk have been served through Mercy Children's Clinic, New Hope Academy, Barefoot Republic Camp, African Leadership, Siloam Family Health Center, Against the Grain, Franktown, and Bethany Christian Services.
- Six ordained PCA pastors with Reformed University Fellowship (RUF) have pursued, taught, discipled, and mentored hundreds of college students weekly - many of them CCC graduates.
- Over $7,100 has been raised to date for our CCC Adoption Fund to assist members with adoption fees associated in becoming a Forever Family.
- House of Glory (residence for pregnant teens) was opened in Lima, Peru after years of prayer and fundraising. Three girls have accepted Christ!
- 54 gospel ministries (many founded by CCC members) have been supported regularly by your generous tithes and offerings.
- $9,000 was raised this calendar year alone through Coffee-for-Missions and the Loose Change offerings for urgent mission projects worldwide (i.e. famine relief in Kenya; support for Blood:Water Mission, The Red Road, and many others).
- World Music Mission launched its inaugural concert on October 1, marking the birth of a minsitry guaranteed to expand its influence worldwide (visit www.worldmusicmission.org).
- More than 90 adult volunteers regularly serve on Prayer Teams, Room in the Inn, Forever Families, Coffee-for-Mission and seasonal projects like Operation Christmas Child.
- More than 220 CCC members participated in short-term mission to Appalachia, Nicaragua, inner-city Chicago and Nashville, Kona, and Uganda - one team alone raising over $33,000 in less than three weeks for Africa!

| 40 Days of Water is under way!
- When $1 is enough to provide clean water for a person in Africa for an entire year, every drink counts! So head over to www.bloodwatermission.com/40days to keep track of the money you would have typically spent on other drinks throughout the day and save that money. At the end, you will then donate what you saved to Blood:Water for urgently needed water projects in war-torn regions of Northern Uganda. If you saved $5 a day just by cutting out a visit to Starbucks, you would raise $200 in 40 days! That is enough to provide clean water for 200 people for an entire year! By sacrificing a small thing in your daily routine, you will make a life-altering difference in the daily routine of a person in Africa.

| Bethany Christian Services
- The Safe Room - is a joint partnership between the Davidson County Department of Chidren's Services and the Middle TN Church Alliance for Orphans. Presently, The Safe Room is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Volunteers work on a 2 or 4 hour "on-call" schedule, which requires that you are available by phone to come in if a referral comes in. The Safe Room provides a safe place for the child while the social worker places calls to find a foster home for the child, and is the one constant on the very chaotic and traumatizing day when a child is rremoved from their home. The Safe Room allows volunteers to work the mission field in their own backyard, and truly work as the hands and feet of Christ for the children. Contact Eve Boger at emboger@bellsouth.net with questions.
- The Safe Families program is designed to keep children out of the foster care system and provide a safe environment for them to live while their parents are getting back on their feet. Safe Families is not an alternative to adoption - it provides the opportunity to open your home and minister to children (and their parents) in their time of need, so that children ultimately can be reunited with their parents. Families who are Safe Families receive no compensation for this service; they receive training and support, and many families say that they themselves are blessed by the experience. If you are interested in learning more about Safe Families, or applying to be a safe home, for more information call 615-242-0909.
- Did you know that Bethany has a website dedicated to women who are experiencing unplanned pregnancies? If you know someone who is pregnant and wants to know all of her options, check out www.impregnant.org for more information.
