From Scotty Smith...

We begin a series on October 5 that I do not want to rush.  We may take 7 weeks, or 12, to go through this journey together, depending on how the Holy Sprit leads.   I have a deep sense that, as a congregation, we are being called into a season of serious, joyful and transforming reflection on our relationships.  Jesus has summarized the entirety of God's law in two commands:  We are to love God with everything we have and are, and we are to love one another as Jesus loves us.  The Apostle Paul went on to summarize the Christian life as "faith expressing itself in love."  How we love is the clearest indication of what we believe. May Jesus who loves us as no one else, bring us into a great season of repentance, refreshing and renewal in the coming weeks.  Would you please consider who you might invite to come with you each week as we enter this journey together?  This would be a great series to invite the un-churched, de-churched or over-churched to. We will consider relationship with God; relationship with ourselves; marriage, friendship, and other relational issues that you bring to my attention.
