Help Local Students Start the School Year Strong

For more than 20 years, The Big Backpack Giveaway has helped Williamson County students start the school year with the supplies they need to thrive. Through the partnership of local churches, businesses, and organizations, thousands of students have been supported and encouraged as they head back to school.

It’s a simple way to care for local students and families in a practical and meaningful way.

This year, we’re joining in by providing backpacks for you to fill with school supplies. On Sunday, June 7, you can pick up a backpack from the table in the Back Lobby, shop for the supplies, and return the filled backpack by July 12.

Supply List for Middle & High School Students

  • Mechanical pencils

  • Notebooks

  • Loose-leaf paper (wide-ruled or college-ruled)

  • Binders (1–3 inch, depending on classes)

  • Dividers (with tabs)

  • Folders (2-pocket folders for each subject)

  • Pencils (wood or mechanical)

  • Highlighters (multiple colors)

  • Pens

  • Pencil case or pouch

  • Sticky notes

  • Lunch box

  • Flash drive or USB

  • Water bottle

  • Snacks / mints

  • Self-care items (hand lotion, chapstick, hand sanitizer, etc.)
