Kids Ministry
Christ Community Kids exists to come alongside parents as they help their children answer the big questions about who God is, how we can have relationship with him, and how he wants us to live our lives. Through engaging activities, loving relationships, and age-appropriate participation in worship, we seek to raise children who are confident about the answers to these and many other important questions. We serve the youngest members of our community with nursery, preschool, and elementary school programs for children from birth through the 5th grade.

Children of all ages are welcome for all or part of the worship service. We value the importance of children participating in the Sunday morning Worship Service – and it’s okay if they wiggle! 🙂 We have children’s bulletins, children’s Bibles, books, and crayons available in the Worship Center.
“Small Saints” Elementary Message (K – 2nd grade): During the Worship Service, children in Kindergarten through 2nd grade can join us for a special elementary message. Nursery and Preschool: We offer Nursery (6 weeks – early 2 year olds) and Preschool classes (2 years – Pre-K) during all Sunday Morning Worship Services (year-round) and during the Sunday Morning Classes hour (August – June).
Nursing Mothers Room: We have a room for nursing mothers located on the A-Wing should you need a quieter place to nurse. Feel free to come and go as needed to feed your infant, change a diaper, or rock your little one to sleep. A live video feed of the service is provided in the room.

First-time visitors will be asked to complete a registration sheet giving us important information such as where you can be located, your contact info, any allergies or special needs your child may have, etc. Your child will be given a name tag sticker that has a security code on it, and you will be given a sticker with a matching code. When you arrive at the check-in desk, we’ll be there – happy to walk you through everything!
When you return to check your child out after the service or class, the supervisor will confirm that the codes match to ensure your child’s safety.

Absolutely! We welcome all children. Because we create an individualized plan for each child with special needs, communication is key to helping us minister to your child. Please feel free to contact us prior to your first visit so that we can answer your questions, listen to your needs, and be prepared to welcome your child. If you do not have time to contact us prior to your visit, be sure to communicate any immediate needs when you register your child. We will be happy to follow up with you during the week to learn more about your child.
For questions or assistance, contact Mary at 615-469-2291 or by email [email protected] -
As we celebrate the Lord’s Supper every week, it’s perfectly understandable that many children (and parents!) may have questions about Communion. Read our Communion FAQ to understand the process, contacts, and answer any questions you may have.
