Ways to Care for Others

Care is Something We Do Together

Caring for one another is part of how we live out the love of Christ.

Because of God's great love and compassion for us, we are called to extend that same care to others. As a church community, we seek to walk alongside one another through life's challenges, offering compassion and practical support. Whether through serving, giving, or simply being present, each of us has a part to play in caring for those in need.

Serve Through Care Ministry

Caring for others can take many forms. Whether offering a meal, praying for someone, or walking alongside those experiencing loss, your time and presence can be a meaningful expression of Christ’s love.

There are several ways to serve through the Care Ministry:

Prayer Team

One of the ways we care for others is through prayer. You can participate by receiving our weekly prayer email and praying for the needs of our church community, or by joining others for our weekly prayer gathering.

Offer compassion and support to individuals and families grieving the loss of a loved one, helping them experience the care of our church community during a difficult season.

Bereavement Team

Provide meals for individuals and families experiencing illness, loss, or other challenging circumstances. A simple meal can be a meaningful way to offer encouragement and practical support.

Community Support Fund

Meeting Practical Needs Through Generosity

The Community Support Fund is a special mercy ministry of Christ Community that Christ Community members can contribute anonymously to assist other members and regular attendees of our congregation who are unable to cover basic financial needs — rent, utilities, groceries, gas, car repairs, counseling — due to job loss, life transition, or a financial strain. It’s a fund that allows us as a community to get help and give help.

We'd love to help you find a way to care for others. Reach out to BJ Hutchins, our Care Coordinator, to learn more about serving with Care Ministry and how you can get involved.
